Hello, I am Mark, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunity to serve as a writer with Live Well with ADD. I have contributed to Readers’ Corner for almost a year. I first cultivated my interest in writing during my second year at Johnson County Community College. Writing has always been a source of enjoyment for me. During high school, I approached it as a challenge in English class. However, college significantly contributed to my growth and pushed me beyond my comfort zone, especially with the encouragement of my instructor. Reflecting on the pieces I have authored, each one holds a special significance for me.

Allow me to share a brief background: I have spent my entire life in Kansas and am fortunate to have been raised by a loving and supportive family. In my leisure time, I enjoy spending quality moments with close friends, including those in my church youth group. Meeting with my support team for dinner once a month  provides a valuable opportunity to reconnect, share good news, and seek advice. I deeply appreciate their support in helping me pursue my aspirations and achieve my goals. I consider myself very fortunate to have them in my life.

As a passionate advocate for people with brain differences, I am genuinely excited to begin this remarkable journey with Live Well with ADD, where I will have the honor of sharing my voice through this monthly column. This represents a pivotal milestone in my life. It’s one marked by hope, personal growth, and purpose.

Writing has always been my sanctuary, my refuge, and my most authentic means of expression. Being granted this opportunity ignites a passion within me, motivating me to connect with others, inspire, and contribute positively. Feel free to drop me a line via the Contact Page. I eagerly look forward to dedicating myself to this endeavor and deepening my love for writing.
